Meet Matt
Matt’s Caddy Shack Automotive Service Center began in 1999 by local East County resident Matt Ford.
Matt received his master mechanic certification for Cadillac's at the local Cadillac dealership and started Matt’s Caddy Shack on a shoestring budget when the opportunity was presented.
Matt’s Caddy Shack auto repair shop was birthed with the belief that Cadillac owners would welcome an alternative to the local dealership for their service work and major engine repairs.
With a honest, straightforward and no pressure approach to customers, Matt’s Caddy Shack has a loyal base of clients who willingly drive from all parts of San Diego for their auto repair.
From there Matt and his team found a need to expand from Cadillac's to becoming one of the premier diesel pickup truck repair shops in Southern California. His team has become certified in all brands of diesel engines from Ford, Dodge and Chevy. Matt even has customers ship their diesel pickup trucks from as far away as Texas and Washington.
On a personal note, Matt believes family is first and has been married to his wife for more than 25 years.
He is the father to two girls and has a long history of wins as coach of girls fastpitch travel ball – softball.e.
